As of June 08th, 2025, UCSD Matsuri is no more. Due to regulations of UC San Diego Center for Student Involvement’s office, we are officially changing our name.
Our new name or names were required to not have the UCSD prefix, and rather have it in it’s full name as a suffix. Officially, we are now known as Matsuri at UC San Diego. However, in light of this, our team saw it as an opportunity to take advantage of this moment an add an additional name, SDMatsuri, to use as a shorthand name as well throughout our domain names, social media handles, and more. We also felt that having SDMatsuri as an additional name allowed us to present ourselves as truly being for the San Diego community, and not just within UC San Diego.
